"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"...
(Hosea 3:6)
Hmmm. An interesting statement.
And odd, isn't it, to think that in a world that's
supposed to be chock-full of knowledge, people are actually being destroyed because
of a lack of it.
And odder still, as an open confession (to all the
folks who say they believe and trust in the Lord), under normal circumstances
I wouldn't be uttering a word about it. But things change. And things are not
normal. And things, such as my laid-back, let's wait-and-see-what-happens attitude
(concerning the situation) did an about-face and changed.
You see, as the saying goes, "Sometimes the truth
hurts"__and the truth is (after spending a considerable amount of time thinking
about it__like several years!), the statement above - by the Lord
- made me cringe. Because it is a piercing, and disturbingly sad commentary
on the state of our knowledge. And to me, it was a condition that clearly called
for a remedy. Some sort of corrective action was sorely needed.
A realization which, as a sort of wake-up call,
got me to thinking: Was there anything that anyone could do? What, if anything,
could I do?
And then it came to me. The answer, in my case:
Start writing.
Simple enough. But, to that end, I knew that it
would be signing some of my life away. Because, unlike most people who like to
write (as a form for communicating with others), I never had the passion or even
the urge to write. About anything. Consequently, as one, of many faults, there
are instances when reducing my thoughts to the written word becomes something
of a struggle for me. And the Lord's commentary provided one such instance__and
a struggle, of gigantic proportions.
Even so, and even though I have a lot on my plate
these days, the statement finally acted on my consciousness. In fact, this appalling
state-of-affairs (our woeful lack of knowledge) became the driving force behind
the urgency and my total committment (with an almost military sense of purpose)
to add this page to the web site.
You see (in easing into the task at hand), my
epiphany, acquaintance and subsequent personal relationship with the Lord began
almost thirty years ago, so I have been spiritually hardwired to the "Scriptures"
for a long time and, not only did I know about the "Key of David" (In the "Bible", at Isaiah 22:22 and Revelation 3:7),
the LORD, Himself, had put it in my hands (true story) and I understood
it__so the solution to our ignorance seemed fairly simple: My thoughts were, "Our
present-day religious beliefs are deep-seated and steeped in the past. And, strangely,
because they are shrouded in a manmade cloak of secrecy, mysticism and mythology,
certain aspects of basic principles were, supposedly, unknowable." But, through
one particular belief, I knew that, through a prism of the past, we could discover
a bit of lost history and truth__so the mandate was, "get on with it, write
something about the 'Key of David'."
Now I know it's hard to believe this, but I have
learned to be completely focused and specific on Scriptural matters. The thing is,
I knew, among other things, that the "Key of David," as indelible as it is ancient,
was also the "key of knowledge"
(In the "Bible," at Luke 11:52); I knew that what it holds, in terms of "knowledge,"
is an incredible story to tell (as I can well testify). But the story-in-waiting
has been hidden in the "Scriptures" and, therefore, what the "Key of David" holds
is not readily apparent. All things considered, then, and since we have it in
our possession, maybe this is the generation...maybe now is the
time that everybody ought to pause for a moment, step outside of the "box" that
we've placed ourselves in and learn about the value of the "Key of David"__and
start using it to rectify the "lack of knowledge" situation.
As it so happens, with the "Lord's" permission
(DIVINE intervention, of sorts), I write this with authority. So, in two
short words__listen! Carefully! Because what I'm trying to bring to the table
can be summed up with one word: TRUTH. And on this page I am about to share with
you a couple of things that you should know about the Scriptures. Things that
may leave you shaking or scratching your head, but nonetheless greatly enhance
your knowledge of the Scriptures.
Which is why however odd or irrational you may find
anything from this point on (and if my intuition serves me well, you will find
some - if not all - of it to be both), be forewarned: You ignore or dismiss anything
at your peril. You see, because the Lord now wants everything that has been hidden
out in the open, you and I will commence an odyssey - with an itinerary that embraces
none of the many scenarios you might have imagined for your life - that will take
us through an explanation of the "Key of David (at various times, hereinafter,
simply called the "Key")." And once we gain some understanding of the "Key" we
will then use it to see and unravel (in short, open and understand)
the steganography of the "Scriptures." (No, I didn't make a mistake and completely
misspell the word, "stenography." I meant exactly what I wrote__steganography! Which
means: The art of hiding a message - in plain sight - within something
that is written.)
To begin with, however, to describe the whole scope
of the "Key of David," on a web site, would be an exercise in futility__since
there are so many facets to its use. So here, we'll be somewhat selective in what
part of the Scriptures is opened. Therefore, we'll take slices from the whole,
and only utilize the "Key" to understand the "Letters" and, to an extent (since,
as one package, they all breathe the same secret), touch on the symbiotic relationship
that exists between the "Key of David," the "Scriptures," and the Pyramids on
the "Plains of Giza."
Before we jump off into explanations though,
I believe several salient points are in order.
First: Here, strictly as a suggestion (of course),
the first order of business for you should be this: Drop all of what you consider
to be intelligence, logic and rationality. They are of no use here.
And trust me when I say that it will be much easier, for you, if you put your
Academic "Credentials" away (in a closet, or in a desk drawer somewhere) and
become as a small child, knowing nothing, and let the "Lord" open your
eyes and let the Holy "Spirit" teach.
Second: As it is written in the "Bible," in 2
Timothy 3:16-17, it reads: "All
Scripture is profitable for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all
good works." Therefore, in order to check and doublecheck what we
are going to do here, we are to utilize all of what we - erroneously - call
the Old and New Testaments. And to do that properly, we should be able to move,
easily, between the two Testaments___in the same language. So the language
of the "Scriptures" that we will be utilizing on this page is the "Koine" Greek.
That said, here is the Third point__which is really
a point of clarification and definition: Several times in the Scriptures,
the Lord prefaces what He is about to say with two phrases; "the kingdom of God" and "the kingdom of heaven."
Those are not just a couple of pretty phrases. So,
as an example, from the "Bible," in the Gospel of Mark (10:14-15), we hear the
Lord saying; "Suffer the little
children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom
of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom
of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." And He meant
that.
I dare say, though, in commenting on the exegetical
treatment of the two phrases, the concept of the word accuracy may have
gone by the wayside with Biblical scholars (a whole other story__and one that
has bent and shifted the perception of what people think the Scriptures are
and can be), but let's not lose sight of the word entirely. So, in going against
the scholastic grain (in the interest of being "accurate"), I must tell you that
the "Kingdom of God" and the "Kingdom of heaven" are NOT synonymous phrases. Now
I don't want to sound like I think I have a corner on absolute truth__that's not
my style. But, for now, suspend your understanding of all the Biblical "Commentaries"
you may have read or heard on the subject, because whenever the Lord uses either
one of the phrases, the word "kingdom" specifically means "knowledge of correct
knowledge and Law."
In other words, when the Lord said, "Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little
child, he shall not enter therein," He was actually saying this: "Whosoever shall not receive the knowlwdge of correct
knowledge and Law of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."
And likewise, the same definition (or explanation) for the word "kingdom" is operative
when He uses the other phrase, "kingdom of heaven." Such as, what the Lord said
in the "Bible," at Matthew 5:20: "
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness
of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Here, too, we should substitute the word "kingdom" with the phrase, knowledge
of correct knowledge and Law. And, believe it or not, I'll say it again:
Whenever the Lord speaks about the "knowledge of correct knowledge and Law" of God
or of heaven, He is talking about two different things.
So, when the Lord said, "ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven,"
this is what He actually said: "
ye shall in no case enter into the knowledge of correct knowledge and
Law of heaven." And believe me, unless you do exactly as the Lord
has said, you will not (in fact, you CAN NOT) enter into the knowledge of correct
knowledge and Law of either one, God OR heaven.
Now, for the other folks...actually, for ANYBODY
who is tempted to tell me that what I just said about the word, "Kingdom," is
nothing more than my opinion or interpretation, let me make something very
clear: ANY "statement" that I make about any topic or any subject which
concerns the "Bible" or the "Scriptures" is NOT made as an opinion, assumption,
theory or interpretation (or anything of that ilk) of mine. In my
small - but privately cherished - life, there is absolutely NO way that I, under
any circumstances, would make a statement if it were not, indeed, a fact.
Which is to say, in the interest of full disclosure, that the contents of this
page, as well as the contents of all the other pages on this web site, are in
NO way based upon conjecture__ of any sort. Period.
Which leads into the Fourth, and final point: It is
important for me to make, and for YOU to understand a fundamental distinction
between the "Bible" and the "Scriptures" (YES, there's a difference). The Bible - all
Bibles, regardless of what non-Semitic language it is written in - is a translated
work__which, over centuries, is the effort of a diverse collection of European
personalities. On the other hand, the Scriptures - of which, we only have "copies"
of the original manuscripts - are the works of the "Scribes" who copied the original
Authors__ALL of which, the original Authors and the Scribes, were Hebrew-Israelites
and only wrote in the Hebrew, Aramaic or "Koine" Greek languages; The "Bible,"
over the centuries, has undergone hundreds of changes__and features - are you
ready for this? - outright errors (scandalously, numbering in the thousands),
consisting of "word" changes and the transposition of words, sentences and, in
many cases, whole paragraphs. The "Scriptures," though, have not changed__and - I
know you're not ready for this - will not change.
With the bottom part of the last paragraph, I began
to get way ahead of myself. You see, later on (farther down in this discussion),
we'll take a good look at one of the major differences between the Bible and the
Scriptures. As an example, we'll take a "word" from the Bible, examine it (in
details), and, with the aid of the Scriptures and the "Key of David," paint a
"letter" picture which will explain why the word has caused so much confusion.
Now, to give you some idea of what you're getting
into, this is some pretty serious stuff with lots to wrap your brain around and,
consequently, NOT a crash course. So, if you're going to try and race through
the contents of this page, forget it__you are in for a long talk. And you will
definitely not understand it, if you try to play the game of "Beat The
Clock." With those points made, slow down, take your time and let's begin:
At the Feast of the Tabernacles (in the Bible,
at John 7:15) the people marvelled at how the Lord knew the "letters." (Remember:
Set aside what you understand from the Biblical Commentaries on this word. Because
the Scriptural word for "letters," from the "Koine" Greek, is grammata.)
So here, even though it is somewhat intricate, with the aid of the "Key
of David," we, too, can learn (and know) the letters just as well
as the Lord knew them. (As a matter-of-fact, if you don't want to continue the
widely known GUESSING game - in terms of wildly interpreting the Scriptures -
it is imperative that the "letters" be perfectly understood.)
If we traverse through several centuries of History,
we'll find that the Greek alphabet has undergone a number of artistic style changes.
Nothing drastic, mind you, just subtle changes here and there in the way that lines
and curves are utilized in drawing the letters. Even so, today, when we look at the
Greek alphabet, the letters will generally resemble the ones in the Table below:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 1 | | A | | ALPHA | | a | | alpha |
| 2 | | B | | BETA | | b | | beta |
| 3 | | G | | GAMMA | | g | | gamma |
| 4 | | D | | DELTA | | d | | delta |
| 5 | | E | | EPSILON | | e | | epsilon |
| 6 | | Z | | ZETA | | z | | zeta |
| 7 | | H | | ETA | | h | | eta |
| 8 | | Q | | THETA | | q | | theta |
| 9 | | I | | IOTA | | i | | iota |
| 10 | | K | | KAPPA | | k | | kappa |
| 11 | | L | | LAMBDA | | l | | lambda |
| 12 | | M | | MU | | m | | mu |
| 13 | | N | | NU | | n | | nu |
| 14 | | X | | XI | | x | | xi |
| 15 | | O | | OMICRON | | o | | omicron |
| 16 | | P | | PI | | p | | pi |
| 17 | | R | | RHO | | r | | rho |
| 18 | | S | | SIGMA | | s | | sigma |
| --- | | --- | | ------ | | s | | final sigma |
| 19 | | T | | TAU | | t | | tau |
| 20 | | U | | UPSILON | | u | | upsilon |

| 22 | | C | | CHI | | c | | chi |
| 23 | | Y | | PSI | | y | | psi |
| 24 | | W | | OMEGA | | w | | omega |
That done, let's see if we can begin to elucidate matters__
and the beauty part of it is - if all goes according to plan - we'll do it in
such a way that even a nonrocket scientist can understand it.
First, understand this: Sometimes the innate ability
to see something takes place in some part of the unconscious that is able to slide
through time or float above it, borrowing from the future as easily as it does
from the past__in other words, I'll go so far as to say that with our "mind's"
eye, we have the ability to see and understand the "Spiritual" (or, invisible)
things of God__with our imagination.
So then, although you're already familiar with it,
let's set the stage by taking a "closer" look at the "Key of David."
Now, from our readings of the Scriptures (and the Bible),
we know that on the day our Lord was crucified there were actually three men hanging
there on the stake. If we let the Xs in the "Key of David" represent the condemned
men, we see (as the "Key" appears above) only TWO of the men. But we know
that our Lord was also there, and that His position was between the other two men.
In short, in the "Center." So, in the "Key" below, lets use our imagination and
represent His position there with a third X (shown in Red).
Although the actual event was nothing more than a
whisper of history by the time I was born, if we take a gigantic step back in
time, we learn that centuries ago, the "Key of David" was given to the Twelve
tribes of Israel__ and to reflect that (again, with our imagination), we add a
horizontal line that bisects the "Key of David." So, in the "Key" below, we now
have Twelve small triangles. Go ahead, take a second or two and count them.
At this point, as it turns out, the main thing that
we want to use here is the middle section of the "Key." It's kind of important
so, below, let's highlight it a bit.
I'm doing my best to keep things crisp, clean and
purposeful on this. But, all things considered, that's not so easy to do. This
isn't your typical topic to write about, you know. Anyway, I want to redirect
your attention and segue to something else__so lets digress a moment. Just for
a moment. From the "Scriptures" (and the Bible), we know - or should know -
that our Father has never visited us. We also know that it was His SON
who stepped down from His position on "High" and paid us a visit. So, If you
take another look at the "Key of David," this point is reflected by the arrangement
of the two (large) triangles that are interlocked.
|

|
It's like this: The large triangle that is pointing
up is reflecting the position of our Father who stayed where He was (and
still is). The other one (the large triangle that is pointing down), represents
our Father's Son who was the one that came down here and tabernacled with us.
(Just in case you didn't know it, His Son is not with us now. Presently, the Son
is back with the Father. And, in the Son's stead, is the Holy "Spirit"__which,
as the Son has said, is the "one" that is to teach us, lead us and guide us in
all things.) By the way, as a side note: At the next opportunity, on the
"Main" pages of this web site, on the "signs" page, you will note that all of
the small triangles (Egyptologists and Pyramidologists call them "symbols") are
also pointing downward. That is not a coincidental circumstance. But we'll
get back to that later. For now, lets continue with what we were discussing.
Digression is over so, in continuing, lets exercise
our imagination a bit more and mentally take a trip, quickly, to Zion (you know, the
place in Egypt that is known as the "Plains of Giza") and take a closer look at
what everybody calls the "Great" Pyramid. Direct your attention (imagination,
if you will) to it's "TOP." You will note that the top of the Pyramid does NOT
come to a point; that, in fact, the missing portion forms a small, but
invisible pyramid (or, triangle?). Now pull your mind back here,
to this page, and lets also remove the top portion of the "Key of David." Look
at what we now have, below:
So far, so good. Lets continue. Although we have
now removed the top portion (or, Point) from the "Key," we're not through
yet. You see, what we did with one "point," we do with ALL "points." We remove
them__leaving only the corners in place. Which now renders the picture,
below:
At first glance (even the 2nd, 3rd and 4th glance),
I admit that the resultant picture doesn't quite have the visual impact that a
Rembrandt, Michelangelo or Norman Rockwell painting might have, but not to worry;
as the "centerpiece" - the milk and meat, so to speak - for OUR business
at hand, it's aural impression will have its own unique way of touching people.
And its oddly mesmerizing impact will be far more reaching.
We're going to start switching back and forth between
two illustrations now, so pay attention. (Although, at first, this will sound
and look a little bit involved, it really isn't. Within the fabric of the "Key,"
it's the same thing again and again.)
First, from the above Table containing the Greek alphabet,
take a look at the "letter" that is listed as number 1. As you can see, the "letter"
in column 96 is the small (or "lower" case, or "miniscule") letter for "alpha."
And, in column 64, we have the Capital (or "Upper" case, or "Uncial") of the same letter, "ALPHA."
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 1 | | A | | ALPHA | | a | | alpha |
Suffice it to say that here we're only interested
in the "Capital" letters__and for a good reason that we'll get to in a moment.
Now, from the Table, you can see what the alphabet scholars have given us for the
Capital letter, "ALPHA." However, the ways of man is NOT the Lord's way and, as
a stirring reminder of that here, He wants us to simplify the matter.
Mind you, while this may not seem relevant, dismissing it as insignificant
would not be the prudent thing to do. In short, the Lord wants us to see (in
continuing with our imagination) and then USE the Capital letter for "ALPHA"
as it is rendered in the "Key of David." Which is shown below:
|

|
|
|
So, from this;
|
we get
for the Capital letter, "Alpha."
|
Easy, huh? OK, it's odd, I know__but it's for real. Anyway,
I think you got the example without any difficulty. Let's try another "letter"
for size. In this instance, the letter "RHO." Again, from the above Table, we
are given the "letter" as shown below:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 17 | | R | | RHO | | r | | rho |
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital of "Rho."
|
I know that we have only covered two letters. And
they're really not what you are accustomed to seeing (to say the least). But,
is it registering so far? Although it's still somewhat vague, can you at least see
an outline of the picture that is beginning to emerge? Not quite yet, you say? OK,
let's do another one. You already know about the letter "CHI," but we'll cover it
anyway. So, from the Table:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 22 | | C | | CHI | | c | | chi |
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital letter, "Chi."
|
Now let's take the capital letter for "THETA" from
the Table.
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 8 | | Q | | THETA | | q | | theta |
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital "Theta."
|
By the way, when you spell it scripturally,
"THETA" is the first letter in the word "God."
Continuing from the Table, we now take the Capital
letter for "OMICRON." This one should be obvious.
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 15 | | O | | OMICRON | | o | | omicron |
|

|
|
|
In the "Key;"
|
we get
for Capital "Omicron."
|
Now this next letter, although it's not that
difficult, it does require some extra "gray matter," so you might have to ratchet-up
your attention. Look at the alphabet Table, and at the Capital letter for "MU."
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 12 | | M | | MU | | m | | mu |
NOW STOP!!
I didn't want to startle you, because that was just
a ploy to get you to hold up for a moment; to get you more involved in what we're
doing here. For now, don't scroll up OR down from this paragraph. Now you see how
the letter "MU" is presented in the alphabet Table. But before you scroll down
to see how it is rendered in the "Key of David," scroll up (just a tad)
and consider the "Key" for the previous letter. Now concentrate, do you have ANY
idea of how the Capital letter for "MU" is presented in the "Key?" Don't cheat
now (by scrolling down), really give it a shot and see if you can figure it out
........ OK, you've had a couple of minutes, do you think you have it figured
out now? ..... Nah, forget it. I can tell you now, I don't think so. I think you
missed it. You might have come close but, nevertheless, I think you missed
it. So now go ahead (I know you're dying to), I won't keep you in suspense, you
can scroll down now and see how the letter is actually made.
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital of "Mu."
|
I know, your knee-jerk reaction was probably, "WHOA!"
Which is understandable. And then you went, "How do you get the letter for "MU" that
way?" Well, trust me on this, okay? Because that is the way the letter is
made. We're doing this the Lord's way, remember? So for now, just relax and go
with the flow. In a few more minutes it will even make sense. Now get the concentration
back, and store this in your memory banks for recall: notice that the letter is
situated above or on the horizontal line (or mark). Also, although
the letter is smaller in size (compared to most of the other letters that we'll
see), this is the way the letter must be represented__not a big "letter,"
but in the "Scriptures" it's a big idea. And it's a very important point to remember. But
for now, don't dwell on this "letter," because we'll get back to it. And, as I
said, everything will get clearer as we proceed with the alphabet.
OK. Now the next letter, like the previous one (for "MU"),
is somewhat unusual, too. But first, let's look at it in the alphabet Table:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 4 | | D | | DELTA | | d | | delta |
And now, from the "Key."
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital, "Delta."
|
Notice that, even though this is the Capital for "DELTA," the
actual letter is small. And notice, again, how the horizontal line (or
mark) has an influence on how (or where) the letter is derived
from the "Key." Of particular note, is the fact that there are actually three
small triangles (pointing up) in the "Key." But the one that represents
the Capaital letter for "DELTA" is the "small" one in the center of the
"Key" and it is below the horizontal line. As I emphasized earlier, with
another "letter," this is a very important point to remember.
If I have done this page correctly, I think, by now,
your mind is clicking on all cylinders and the imagination is kicking into high
gear. So let's go on with a couple more letters. From the "Table" we have this:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 18 | | S | | SIGMA | | s | | sigma |
|

|
|
|
Simplifying;
|
we get
for the Capital of "Sigma."
|
And the next letter from the Table:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 5 | | E | | EPSILON | | e | | epsilon |
|

|
|
|
Again, simplifying;
|
we get
for Capital of "Epsilon."
|
With the Capital letter "EPSILON," the "Key" is
providing us with an opportunity to expand on the ability to see Spiritual
things. That is, in the case of the "vertical" line that is a part of the letter
is derived from the vertical (though, invisible) line that is situated
on the "left" side of the "Key." In short, if you are visualizing correctly, you
should actually be able to see (even though they are invisible) "Three"
vertical lines in the "Key" (one on the "left," one in the "CENTER" and one on
the "right," . Do you
remember the crucifixion scene on the day that our Lord was crucufied? Remember
how the three men were hanging there, in misery, in agony, in utter disgrace?
And yet, in the midst of such a tragic situation, a conversation ensued up there
between them.
It is certainly worth contemplating. Because their
conversation (when the hidden message is understood) is not insignificant.
By-and-by, the hidden message will be explained but, for now, let's move on to
another "letter." This time it's the letter "NU" from the Table.
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 13 | | N | | NU | | n | | nu |
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for the Capital letter, "Nu."
|
As you can see, although they are invisible, the two
"vertical" lines for the letter "NU" are derived from the vertical line on the "left"
and the vertical line on the "right." The "diagonal" line of the letter should be obvious,
since it is one of the diagonal lines that forms the letter "CHI (X)."
Now let's try "UPSILON" from the Table:
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 20 | | U | | UPSILON | | u | | upsilon |
|

|
|
|
From the "Key;"
|
we get
for Capital "Upsilon."
|
Really unorthodox but, If you're "Up to snuff" with
me on this, then you already know that the bottom half of the letter is
derived from the vertical line that is in the center of the "Key," . The top half is simply a letter that we're
already familiar with__the letter "MU" ( ). Actually, it wouldn't be quite accurate to restrict it to being
just a letter of the Greek alphabet, because, on a more subtle level, it
represents much more than that. So, even though we leave it for now, we're not
finished with this letter yet__and a little farther down we'll take it up again.
And now, FOR now, the last letter from the Table.
| | | 64 | | Description | | 96 | | Description |
| 24 | | W | | OMEGA | | w | | omega |
|

|
|

And the "Key;"
|
gives us
for Capital "Omega."
|
To me, the letter "OMEGA" is one of the simplest
of the letters that is derived from the "Key." Simple because it is an exact clone
of the letter "OMICRON" except for one distinct feature__we remove the bottom
horizontal line from the letter, "OMICRON."
I know there's a good chance that you followed
this brief excursion into the "letters" very well__that is, if you were successful
in suspending disbelief and didn't develop some sort of mental block along the
way. And, although we only covered twelve of the letters here, it's a beginning
(it's not important how many we do but how much you learn and retain). And believe me,
there is much more to do than what we have done here. But all I wanted
to do here was give you the very basic, very easy "Letters" for you to see. Even
so, you should have a pretty good idea of how the rest of the letters are
formed.
Yet, let's be realistic.
So I must say that, at this point, I also know
you could be thinking that it's an "Interesting concept alright." But frankly,
in exercising due caution (skepticism?), you're wondering what my fuss
is all about. Specifically, you don't see anything extraordinary about utilizing
the "Key of David" as a template for rendering Greek "letters." What is the
relevancy? Or maybe the right question is, exactly what do Greek "letters" do,
in terms of opening up the Scriptures?
If that is the case, I'm glad you asked__it's a
legitimate question. And I like it when someone wants to hear me out (because I
like for people to understand what I'm saying). In answering, though, let
me say this: The benefits of understanding the "letters" covers a wide range of
subjects. Too numerous, and too involved to address on a couple of web pages.
But I tell you what, in the interest of casting at least some light on
their importance, I'll venture into one aspect of the "letters." To wit:
In a world where we can travel just about anywhere
- the desert, the rainforest, the ice caps; the mountain tops, the oceans' depths;
even the dark side of the moon - we can study and learn just about anything. And
one result of this prolific learning experience is that we have produced theologians,
popes, rabbis, preachers, ministers, mediums, spirit channellers and psychic guides
galore__all professing knowledge.
And yet, an uncomfortable truth is that there is
a single word...a simple "word" that has puzzled the so-called "Enlightened"
academic community for centuries. in fact, the experts - all of them of the highest
order of intellect and academic bearing, esteemed religious scholars and the like -
have studied this "word" from every conceivable angle there is. Producing a slew -
literally, thousands - of Biblical and secular commentaries on the subject.
It should be so simple, really__but, so far, they can't quite nail the "word"
down with an unquestionable explanation. ("Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of
the truth."; 2Timothy 3:7) Frankly speaking (strictly MY opinion, of
course), all they have done is produce an awful lot of swirling confusion around
the "word." Confusion, that is totally unneccessary. So, with the aid of the "Key
of David," let's take an indepth look and see if we can now offer a "definitive"
explanation (and, therefore, understanding) of the word, "GOD."
Now I would like to say that the "Bible" is inerrant;
I would also like to say that you can rely, absolutely, on the Theological "Commentaries"
(of various passages) about the word "God" that is common to most Bibles. I would
like to say those things, but I can't. At the risk of seeming like a one-note
blabbermouth who says whatever he thinks and calls it candor rather than indiscretion,
the "TRUTH," and I'd be deceiving you if I didn't tell it, is that it doesn't
matter where you look in the "Bible," in fact, you can go from cover to cover
and you will always find the word "God" spelled just one way__"God." But,
if you consult the "Koine" Greek "Scriptures," you will find out that the
word that has been translated as "God," is actually spelled "FOUR" different
ways. They are:
Qeos
Qeon
Qeou
Qew
This is where we start to SEE a Scriptural
"Revelation," so please, don't make the mistake of thinking that this is irrelevant;
don't be tempted and just gloss over those variant spellings of the word__meditatively
speaking, back up a little into the more contemplative realm of the mind and really
digest each "Letter" of the words. Because this is a unique example of how a "word"
(any word from the "Bible") is clarified with the aid of the "Key."
If you are fortunate enough to have one, a good
Concordance of the Bible will come in handy here. And rest assured, the best of
Concordances will attempt to cover those four variant spellings of the word, "God." But,
invariably, the theological emphasis will be placed on the top spelling of the word,
"Qeos."
And, in some ways, it's a peculiar thing__which
has always sent more than a buzz and ripples - of seismic proportions - throughout
academic circles. You see, I can say without reservation that Theologians have
known, for eons, that the word, "God," is a singular, yet plural noun.
Most unusual. And despite being clothed, head-to-toe, in their adoptive (and
collective) way of thinking, to their chagrin they can't quite explain the anomaly.
Vintage Theology, but a discordant note and a major, major breach in the stoic
we-can-explain-it-all mentality. (It's somewhat tantamount to a fisherman - in
fertile waters - after trolling all day with a net in the middle of a Lake__trying
to catch a much needed batch of fish. And, horror of horrors, discovering that
he's been using a ripped fishnet. If you can spare the time, click
here and
go to an example of how scholars, in general, try to explain the word "God.")
Here, I'm going to digress again, and leave that
subject hanging there for a moment. To get to the TRUTH (somewhat out of fashion
and something we tend to skirt around nowadays__pushed to the sidelines, as being
dated and irrelevant as rationing or religion) and better explain the solution
to the puzzle, I want to go with an example of something. Let's use this small
figure , to represent
"Three" things; our Father, His side of the "Key of David" and His "house."
And let's arrange everything in a column like this:
The Father
The Father's house
The Father's side of the "Key of David"

At this point we want to add another little
, and let it represent
our Father's Son; and we want to place them side by side. The problem though,
is this: After they're placed side-by-side, if we don't label both of them - or,
at least one of them - in some way, how do we know which one is
which, or, Who is Who? Better stated; If we place the two together,
like this , which represents the Father, and which represents the Son? The answer is provided through another question,
"What does the Scriptures (or the Bible) say?" Well, let's go look it up and see...
Now, after we look it up (in the Bible, at Acts
2:33-34), we find out that our Father's Son has taken a seat to the right
hand of the Father. Which means that, if they are seated side-by-side, as we face
and look at them, the Father will always (I mean, always) be on our "right." And
His Son will always be on our "left." In other words, it doesn't matter
where they are, as long as they are together__and if they are together,
we can identify them. That being the case (the same "yesterday," "today"
and "forever"), our Father is always to our "Right" hand and His
Son is always to our "Left" hand.
So, when we place these two side-by-side, the beauty of this is that we immediately KNOW
which is representing which (or who is who). Right? Right.
Bear in mind that the space (or distance) between
them is irrelevant__so we can represent them as just barely touching and
place them ON a horizontal line. Therefore, when we look at the
"Key of David" when it's presented like this:

There should be no doubt in our mind about who the Father
is, where His side of the "Key of David" is or where His house is. RIGHT?
And likewise with His Son. We KNOW who the Son is, where the Son's side of the
"Key of David" is and where the Son's house is. So, even though there may be an occasion
when we're looking at the "Key of David" like this:
Or even this way:
There is no hesitation on our part with it (in terms
of recognizing various parts), because the Lord has given us a way to actually
see and fathom a few "Spiritual" (or, invisible) things within the
"Key." No matter how it's overall design may be presented, we know "Where" the
Father and His Son are represented.
